| Today, DDMM is a cardiac super-specialty centre
with ultramodern diagnostic and treatment
facilities consisting centrally air-conditioned cardiac
operation theatre, critical care units, and our most recent
addition - for the first time in Gujarat, the AXIOM Artis dF
with Flat Detector technology from Siemens, the hi-tech
catheterization laboratory for complete imaging, examination
and interventions. |

At OPD, daily out patient
consultations (between 8 am and 4 pm) and tests are conducted.
We have appropriate facilities for both adults and pediatric
patients for their diagnosis and
treatment. For Echocardiography, we have Stand-Alone
Echo, Portable Echo and Colour Doppler machines. Apart
from the regular Treadmill Stress Tests, Stress Echo and Dobutamine
Stress Echo are also done. |
The Intensive Care Unit
is functional round-the-clock, equipped with trained doctors
and the latest facilities for monitoring
and treatment of all cardiac emergencies such as acute
myocardial infarction (heart attack), heart failure, valvular
problems and conditions requiring temporary pacemaker implantation.
The CCU is equipped with intra-aortic
balloon pump and ventilator. A transport ventilator
and monitoring system is also available here. Our unit
is well equipped for handling neo-natal patients. Special
pediatric beds are available along with the necessary paraphernalia
to provide complete care to the children. |
The Cardiac
Catheterization Laboratory - The Cath Lab has facilities
for performing angiographies, angioplasties,
stent implantations and emergency angioplasties (for
heart attacks). It is also equipped for electrophysiology
studies, where diagnostic and therapeutic studies can be done
for patients having heart rhythm problems. Valvuloplasties
and permanent pacemaker implants for both adults and children
and cardiac catheterizations for small children are also routinely
done here. |
We are the first in Gujarat to be equipped
with the state-of-the-art Cath
Lab with the AXIOM Artis dF with Flat Detector technology
from Siemens. This latest technology is most significant
in the optimum imaging, monitoring and diagnosis of all
cardiovascular ailments and their non-invasive treatment.
Closure of defects, pacemaker implantations, etc. is possible
without surgery. This unit also has an attached daycare
lounge and a spacious waiting area. The all digital cathlab
may set new standards of electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization
due to its highly advanced attributes. DSA (Digital Subtraction
Angiography) procedure for a complete head to toe analysis
of all the blood vessels are carried out effectively through
this system.
